Didn't always walk the line,
not the way he wanted, or others.
gave into vices,
didn't applaud or regret
many a phrase recalled his karmas.
walked with June,
others courted his affections
he'd quietly say goodbye,
not like he waved to Capital -
one finger thrown into the camera,
"Hurt" became his,
Pearl Jam clapping loudly.
Political correctness never sought,
merely the man in black
walking a line worth walking,
happy to anticipate another day,
walking through the door.
