'five pieces, November's moving'                      timothy r gates, 11/10/2014

1.  Fall leaves hit the earth
   crumbled, become dust to another
   perennials say, “thank you.”
2. My son interrupts,
   “Dad, you like the idea of nature.”
   driving in the rain, “yes, i do like this.”
3.  I pray
   I’ve tried not to pray
   both are presumption.
4. I tend to miss verbs when writing
   it could be they’re understood verbs
   or, I simply miss verbs.
5. Happiness, have known
   despair, this too
   both are interpretations.
