God died.
Mother, a few of her friends
and a young John,
the rest hung with
Judas,
just without a noose.
People die.
Immediately
love and claims on it
smother a blessed repose.
Love dies not,
yet is cremated
in applause or accusations,
tears of shame
chooses to blanket
indiscreet fingers.
Proverb, "no greater
love
is there than a friend
laying down their life."
Love has no need.
