Yes, on the
"Wild side,"
once was asked what he had in mind,
what was his inspiration.
"What the f' are you talking about?"
He jerked back,
not trying to be funny.
Like the the Beat Poets,
a minstrel
in meter and lyric,
raw intonations
thrown into the air
hammering and pulling
his lover's strings.
"I had nothing in mind,
you breathe, then exhale."
without grand agendas,
sometimes it worked
sometimes it worked less -
Yet, when it worked,
damn, it was f'n great!
As with my friend Peter,
leaving this space last year,
you certainly gave us a
hell of a
heavenly ride.
